RE: sqrmimport.pl 04/30/1998

This perl script is designed to satisfy users of Squirm redirector software
who wish only to block a list of sites. It will read a file containing a
list of sites:

www.xxxweee.com
anysite.net
any.other.site.com

...and output a regex pattern sutable for use with squirm, including the
redirect site:

regexi ^http://.*\.xxxweee\.com/* http:/your.redirect.site
regexi ^http://anysite\.net/* http:/your.redirect.site
regexi ^http://.*\.any\.other\.site\.com/* http:/your.redirect.site

Or you might try:

regexi ^http://.*\.xxxweee\.com/* 301:http:/your.redirect.site

It will also by default append the following abort strings:

abort *.gif
abort *.jpg
abort *.htm
abort *.html

You must edit sqrmimport and define $redir to be your redirect site,
including http://sitename. You can also edit the abort list shown above.
I find that this greatly simplifies updating your patterns as required
comparable to a spam blocking file in some mailers.

Type sqrmimport by itself for usage information.

I hope you find it useful. I'd like to be able to modify it so it can
handle different redirections, but I have no clue where to start at this
point:(
